One of my Earth Day resolutions----I have Earth Day ones, not New Years :-)!--- was to use only cloth napkins for our meals. No more grabbing a paper towel. I'm transitioning to a cloth napkin routine in which each person has their own napkin that they use for one whole day (unless it gets too dirty---ie. spaghetti night!). I'm told it's the way the French use cloth napkins? Who knows, but it's just another way of cutting down on our family's paper use. (We live amongst the trees so you'd think we would have "gotten" this before now!)!
I decided to embroidery many of our napkins to "personalize" them. I'm also on the look-out for individual napkin rings---a unique one for each family member. Any ideas? Suggestions?
Here's more information on using cloth napkins on the 'So What Can I Do' blog... This blog is great for the "green" information you can gleen from the posts.
Also, here's a little more info about bringing a cloth napkin with you (in your purse, etc) so you won't be forced to use paper----Corduroy Orange when you're out and about.
