Laughing it up.

Laughing it up.

This is one of my favorite pictures of my son---only his laughing eyes exposed. It captures his spirit perfectly: impish, quick to laugh, and silly. He loves music and he loves to dance. In fact, he was dancing in his seat on the way to school today to the Elton John's "Crocodile Rock."
He's a kid that doesn't hide behind that armor of protection. You know the armor that so often kids wear-----sometimes it's coolness, sometimes anger, sometimes the class clown. He has his moments of trying on the armor, but for the most part, he is who he is. It's what we love about him and worry about, too. Without the armor, the world can be a tough place.

That photo is soooo sweet! Your comments on your son reminded me of my son. The world can be a tough place but I find it remarkable when little boys can just be themselves. It is so hard to do.
I read your comment on my blog and want you to know that thoughts are with you also. It helps to know that there is someone else out there that understands where you are and how you are doing. I hope you are well. Your blog is wonderful. It is going in bloglines!

That is a wonderful photo! If he can be who he is then I think that this is a great testimony to his mother :)
