My sewing machine seems to have found a new home at the repair shop. Perhaps being near her own kind amongst the glittery notions and attachments lured her away from me.
No wonder----I had nothing much to tempt her to stay home besides the repetition of sewing this same dress over and over again (from Weekend Sewing: Trapeze Sundress).
But I wonder if fancy new fabric and a try at Angry Chicken's 5-minute Skirt and the FOE technique will keep her home next time? Just don't tell her that I have two more of those same dresses planned for myself when she finally ventures back home...
And even more tempting is the book, 'Linen, Wool, Cotton,' and thanks to Shambhala's MakeGoodBooks division, I have two of these wonderful sewing books to offer as giveaways! I will give away two copies of 'Linen, Wool, Cotton' to those who comment on this post by Sunday at 8 PM Pacific Time. At that time, I will randomly choose two winners and notify you on the blog and via email. Good luck and do check out MakeGoodBook's site, as they offer a couple fun and free downloadable patterns! Oh, and stay tuned, I'll have another giveaway very soon!
