Sorry, I couldn't help myself with this post's title.
Meet our new kids: Thistle Wickets and Bleepin' Niblets. Pygmy goats.
Due to our home's previous owner's lack of anything resembling a green thumb, our back yard is a field of weeds. We aren't ready to dive into the scope of landscaping project it requires, so we enlisted the munching mouths of goats to help us out.
Though our intentions were quite utilitarian when we got them, they have quickly won over hearts. They are silly, charismatic, and oh so cute!!
My daughter immediately went to work training them, brushing them, and many other methods of spoilage. They have heart-melting bleats---though, they over-use this charm when no one is around to pet them when they deem it necessary.
They are doing their jobs, slowly but surely, and they have struck up an interesting play routine with our dog.
We must find some sort of containing device to keep them out of our garden this summer----yet another project!
Even so, they are such a welcome addition to our little "farm!"
