I've been reading up on increasing the amount of raw and living foods I eat. Once again, I'm drawn to both the health aspects and the creativity of this style of preparation.
When I first opened the book, Raw Food: A Complete Guide to Every Meal of the Day, I was drawn to the Breakfast Porridge section. Yeah, they're basically smooshed fruits and veggies, but "porridge" sounds so much more appetizing, don't you think?
With only five ingredients (kiwi, apple, pear, celery, and flax seeds + cinnamon, if you wish), I was suprised at how satisfying this little breakfast was! The flaxseeds gave it a porridge essence and I felt so light and ready for the day after I ate bowl of porridge.
Do check out that book. It's comprised of doable raw meals for any time of the day, making it easier to add a raw meal into your diet here and there.
